Volkswagen DataPlug sends real-time vehicle data to a smartphone connected via Bluetooth. In conjunction with the Volkswagen Connect and Volkswagen ConnectedVan apps on your smartphone, a wide range of data can be evaluated and displayed. For this purpose, the 16-pin connector is plugged into the vehicle's ODB-2 interface and does not require a separate power supply. This means that the vehicle driver is always accurately informed about the vehicle's status. Compatible apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
